A Warm Welcome awaits you at the Archways Retreat, a Oamaru Stone Church & Grounds, on The Weston – Ngapara Highway – Just a short drive from Oamaru.
In the beautiful North Otago Region. Opening its doors Once again as a Retreat for all to enjoy and learn to Breath, to just Be, in today’s hectic lifestyle. Join us for a relaxing break or even come and help out as you enjoy the quiet country fresh air and take time for You!
Julie & Shane aim to provide a restful place to just enjoy and reconnect with your inner being, help out in the Grounds, the Raised Flower and Vegetable Gardens or join one of our Development, Meditation, or Spiritual Groups.
An International Medium – Julie Simpson will be offering her services and many classes and courses at the Retreat.
History awaits to engulf you as you enter the the Grounds of the Old Church, Built over 100 years ago, by neighboring Estates, the Church now stands out in the Countryside, Just out of Weston, on route to Ngapara. Sink into the atmosphere as you wander The SOC Retreat, its Grounds, Orchard and Enjoy the tranquility of the Interior, with Original fittings and Modern Kitchen ready to Provide the perfect setting for Your break.
This venue is also available for Events, Parties or simply to park up your Motorhome, Caravan or Tent and enjoy a relaxing Break. Julie and Shane also welcome all, to help out, stay and learn from the many groups, sessions and or just pop in for a Psychic/Mediumship Reading.

All Areas are open to Guests ( bar the work shed out back, ie mancave for safety reason) Kitchen, Bathroom, Laundry, Gardens, You are also welcome to join in helping in the grounds.

The Retreat is set around a Church over 100 years old, in amazing grounds. With an Orchard, established trees, offering a Spa Pool/Bath (weather permitting) The whole place is surrounded by Farms and Country side, with the Elderslie Bird Sanctuary locally. The Alps to Ocean Cycle way is right at our doors.

Otago is a southeastern region on New Zealand’s South Island. Its terrain encompasses snow-capped mountains, glacial lakes and a rugged peninsula sheltering sandy beaches and wildlife like penguins.
